6. Bridge

Overview

To convert your ERC20 tokens to tokens on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), so you can use them on BurgerSwap, users can use our Bridge function. For every ERC20 token you deposit into our Bridge, it will create and issue a bToken to you, using the ERC20 token you deposited as collateral. bTokens are minted and runs on the BSC chain (also known as BEP20 tokens).

How to trade Ethereum based assets on Binance Smart Chain?

If you have not used BurgerSwap or any other Binance Smart Chain application before with Metamask, you should first set up Binance Smart Chain on your MetaMask. Here you can read how you can interact with Binance Smart Chain through MetaMask.

To convert ERC20 tokens to BEP20 tokens, users need to make sure their MetaMask wallet's Network Setting is configured to "Ethereum Mainnet network" before beginning. Vice versa, if you want to swap BEP20 tokens back to ERC20 tokens, users first need to make sure their MetaMask wallet's Network Setting is on Binance Smart Chain before beginning the process.

In this example, we will show you how to convert an ERC20 token to BEP20 token.

1. Go to the Bridge tab and select the ERC20 asset and the amount you want to convert. Here we use SUSHI as an example. Click on [Create crosschain assets].

2. MetaMask will ask you to confirm the transaction. Don’t forget to check if the Gas fee is within your fee tolerance level. If so, you can proceed to confirm the transaction.

The cross-chain transaction fees will be charged when you receive the cross-chain assets on Binance Smart Chain. The total transaction fee includes a handling fee of 0.05 BNB and Gas fee in ETH, generated from on-chain trading.

3. After your transaction is confirmed, open MetaMask's Network Setting and change the Network to Binance Smart Network.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Bridge page to find your transaction in the Transit record. Click [Receive].

5. MetaMask will pop up again, asking you to confirm the transaction.

6. Copy the contract address from the Transit record on the Bridge page and add it as a new token to your MetaMask Wallet.

7. Your bSUSHI will show in your MetaMask wallet after the transaction is confirmed.

Notes:

  1. Bridge Auto-Fix Bot Released : Anyone having cross bridge issues, please input your transaction hash ID into the new box at the bottom of the bridge page. The bot should flush through the stuck transaction immediately. please contact us if there’s further issues.

2. Please be aware that [Burger cross-chain] is for swapping BURGER token (in ETH network) to BURGER token (in BSC network) ONLY. If you send any other tokens to this bridge, your tokens will be lost and not recoverable. Please follow our DOCS guide when using and use with care. If you desire to swap other ERC20 tokens from ETH network to BSC network, hence generate bTokens, please visit burgerswap.org and go to [Bridge] - [bToken].
